Stow Inspired is pleased to launch its latest collection, Catching Creative, as part of Business in the Community Responsible Business Week, 24-28 April 2017.
This exciting new collection of original drawings, paintings and prints has been created by a group of upcoming artists and is presented in partnership with Waltham Forest College, based in Walthamstow, east London.
The artists, who are currently studying HNC and HND Art at the college, are from a variety of ages, backgrounds and cultures and are working hard to develop their individual creative language. They all share a passion for the visual arts and as a group take some of their inspiration from the London Borough of Waltham Forest and its surroundings.
Carole Morgan, founder of Stow Inspired says ‘It’s been great to work with the Creative Industries Department at Waltham Forest College and this group of talented artists over the past few weeks. From our initial discussions with Fenella Magnus, HNC/D Art lead tutor in March, Stow Inspired has provided the students with an opportunity to work collectively to evaluate their work, prepare for selling online and gain important commercial experience, which forms part of their studies.’
‘We’re very happy that Carole and Stow Inspired has given us this opportunity to showcase some of our students work. Hopefully “Catching Creative” will be just the start of furthering professional community links for the department to share its talent,’ adds Fenella Magnus, Waltham Forest College.
The Catching Creative collection includes original art and prints and makes a great addition to the Stow Inspired collection until late September 2017. Featured artists include: Alison Karahan, Cleo Oland, Liz Purkis, Miriam Giordano and Pia Zinelli.
